RADIO TALK SHOW HOST
For the past ten years Debra has been the afternoon "drive time" talk show host of "Talk from the Heart" with Dr. Peppers. This popular daily call-in talk show can be heard from 3:00-5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, on KJSL, 630 on the am dial. Billed as "St. Louis' Most Encouraging Talk Show" this inspirational and educational Christian program features interviews with authors, recording artists, political candidates, and Debra's favorite - "unsung heroes who have overcome great obstacles", much like Debra has done herself. KJSL is the most powerful daytime station in the St. Louis area and is owned by the nationally acclaimed Crawford Broadcasting Company. Debra has been a featured guest on over thirty radio and television stations worldwide. SAMPLE OF PAST GUESTS: President George W. and First Lady Laura Bush Reeve Lindbergh, daughter of the late Charles Lindbergh Pat Boone, recording artist and 50's icon Former Representative Richard Gephardt Jim Nabors, singer/entertainer, most remembered as Gomer Pyle Charlie Daniels, country and western singer/recording artist Carlos Santana, Latin style singer of Woodstock fame Vice President and Mrs. Dick Cheney Mary Lou Retton, former Olympic gold medal gymnast, now author Ruth Bell Graham, author and wife of evangelist Billy Graham Dana Reeves, wife of Christopher Reeves of Superman fame "Tex" Watson, serving a life sentence for the Charles Manson murders Rhea Perlman, "Carla" on the TV sitcom Cheers "UNSUNG HEROES": Debra interviews people of all ages and backgrounds who have left their mark in their local communities, schools and neighborhoods. These included former gang members, recovering addicts, war heroes, rape victims survivors, senior citizens with outreach ministries, and others who have turned tragedy into triumph such as students from Columbine. Segments of Debra's program are broadcast nationwide.
